Genome-Wide Associations (GWA) Karyogram
This is a graphic representation of the complete set of human chromosomes or karyogram. Here you may visualize GWA hits for those traits in the
NHGRI Catalog of Published Genome-Wide Association Studies with at least one replication study and a p-value < 1 x 10
-15 (as of September of 2008). You may also upload your own data for comparison.
Instructions: Select the diseases or traits of interest on the left panel. Click on the "example" button to see the format of example data, click on "Load" and turn ON the "User's upload" box. Observe the correspondence between the uploaded annotations and the superimposed image on the right. Note that the intensity of the color is proportional to the scores (computed here as -10*log10(p-value)). Arrange your data in a similar format and upload your data in the window provided (header lines are not necessary). If you mouse over a colored line, you will notice the name of the associated landmark (usually a SNP or haplotype name). Click on it to zoom into its genomic context, as it appears in the HapMap Genome Browser.
